Skavsta Airport Transfer to Stockholm, Door to Door

About 100 km, or 62 miles, southwest of the city, beside the town of Nyköping. The drive takes 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Skavsta is marketed as a Stockholm airport but it is not in Stockholm, and that is the single most useful thing to know before you book anything.

No, and confusing them is expensive. Skavsta is NYO, roughly 100 km southwest of Stockholm near Nyköping. Arlanda is ARN, 40 km north of the city. They are about 140 km and up to two hours apart, so check the three-letter code on your ticket before booking a car.

Two realistic ways. The airport coach runs to Cityterminalen beside Central Station in about 80 minutes for roughly 230 SEK, with departures timed to flights rather than to a clock. Or take local bus 515 to Nyköping Central, about 11 minutes and around 35 SEK, then a train to Stockholm on a separate ticket, roughly an hour more.

Nothing you need to manage. Yes. Allow 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours between the two airports in normal traffic and rather more in rush hour. If you are making a connection, tell us both flight numbers and we will plan the departure against a realistic clearance time at Skavsta.

Yes, and it is often the more sensible plan. Nyköping is 10 minutes away, Norrköping 50 to 60 minutes, Linköping about 1 hour 15. If your business is south of Stockholm, Skavsta is genuinely the right airport and the transfer is short.
